My name is Heather Wyatt, and I founded the Aubreigh Wyatt Foundation after the devastating loss of my daughter, Aubreigh Wyatt.
Aubreigh took her own life at the age of 13.
This tragedy shattered my family, leaving us with a pain that we will struggle with forever.
In the midst of my agony, I found moments of joy in sharing who Aubreigh was—telling her story, sharing her likes and interests, and letting others see her amazing personality

One day, while waiting for my psychiatrist appointment, a mother approached me with her young daughter, who was the same age as Aubreigh. She asked me for advice. At first, I thought, “What do I know? I couldn’t even save my own child.” But in that moment, I felt the Lord move within me, pushing me to share. I told that sweet mama all the things I wished I had done, all the things I wished I had known. My “would haves,” “could haves,” and “should haves” would never bring Aubreigh back, but maybe, just maybe, they could save another family from this immense agony and pain.
That day marked the beginning of my desire to let my pain have a purpose.
I continued to share stories of Aubreigh, but I also began to support and encourage others, offering advice and gaining the knowledge I needed to help families. This idea grew and blossomed into a foundation. I wanted to make sure that resources were accessible to teens and families and to raise awareness about mental health, bullying, self-harm, and suicide. While also ensuring that therapy is available to teens, regardless of cost.

Through this foundation, I am committed to breaking the stigma around these topics and providing the support and resources that families need.
To creating that open dialogue on homes, between families. To let teens know they are not alone. To let families know they are not alone!

My hope is that by sharing our story, and with the foundation we can help others avoid the heartbreak that we have endured and bring some light into the darkness that so many are facing.
